"I am a tried-and-true racer at heart. I love every aspect that contributes towards success. Training, nutrition, mental strength, recovery, sleep, life balance, preparing for specific weather conditions, learning the race course, equipment, team work, and tactics. I believe success is when preparation meets opportunity. I also know that ‘success’ can mean different things for different people. Whether it be finishing a century, contesting a final sprint, setting a new personal best, or being able to drop your buddies on the weekday group ride, a lot of the same factors will contribute towards those goals."
More about Coryn
I have raced in many different categories and disciplines throughout my 20+ year cycling career. I started with road, then got into track, cyclocross, and mountain bike(I would even have dabbled in BMX in college, but I was already on a pro road contract that didn’t allow me. But I have ridden pump tracks before!). I've raced all through the ranks from juniors to collegiate, U23 to US professional and ultimately World Tour professional. I have also competed in over 10 different World Championships including Junior Road and Junior Track World Championships and am proud to have been a Tokyo 2020 Olympian.
I was always an active and competitive kid growing up. I used to play soccer in early grade school and my dad put me on the back of the tandem for road rides. We would do weekend group rides with his buddies which evolved to metric centuries then to 100-milers. I eventually got my own bike and discovered the freedom and independence of riding on my own. A year later, my dad’s friend dared me to take part in a kids race at Redlands Classic and said he would give me $20 if I won. I took him seriously, had a trainer warm up for a one-lap race, took off from the start, and won. I was hooked on racing and the rest is history. My dad was my first coach and eventually worked with US National Team coaches. When in the WorldTour I worked with German, Dutch, and Belgian coaches over the years. I’ve found that the best athlete-coach relationships are when everyone is clearly on the same page and truly believing in the program you are doing.

I am a big foodie. I have a pizza oven and usually do a pizza night at home once a week. I got into sourdough a couple years ago and my favorite is making a 25-rye loaf, doughnuts, and crumpets.
My husband and I converted our Sprinter van ourselves during the pandemic. I was in charge of electrical and plumbing and Nate did all the carpentry.
We have an American Bully named Tank who may look intimidating but is a total sweetheart and cuddle bug. Tank and I also have the same length legs.
