"I grew up in Boulder, CO, home of the Coors Classic stage race of the '80s. From the age of 15 my path was clear the first time I pinned on a number: I was now and forever a bike racer. I went home, shaved my legs, and began to devour everything I could about the sport."

More about Colby

Fast forward to today, and I have won 14 National Championships, raced professionally for 15 years, held US records for 10KM, 20KM, 50KM and one-hour on the track, attended Track World Championships 9 times [twice as a coach and the other as an athlete on the US team], raced and won in road, criterium, time trial, cyclocross, mountain bike XC, and track events. I was a member of the 2004 Olympic team [Athens 40KM points race]. I am a Steve Hogg Certified bike fitter, a USAC Level One coach, and a Certified CHEK Practitioner. I also have my own podcast, Cycling in Alignment with Colby Pearce. Cycling is pretty much my entire life, and I have learned a lot of hard lessons in this journey that can give me the experience to help riders achieve their cycling dream, goal, or objective.

Fun facts

Following Greg LeMond, Team EF founder Jonathan Vaughters and I were the first riders in the United States to get SRM power meters way back in 1994. They cost more than most people’s cars and came with a stiff import tax, something we didn’t know until we had to shell out a few hundred bucks at the post office to pick up the package.
